Four Coaches Join the John R. Park Debate Society
In the 2024-2025 season the John R. Park Debate Society will grow with the inclusion of four new graduate assistant coaches. The Debate Society’s new coaches are sure to make significant contributions to the team’s success in both competition and public outreach.
Their contributions begin in the summer of 2024 as they help prepare students for the season and assist in coaching at the team’s high school summer camp – The Beehive Forensics Institute.
Emma Murdock joins the U as a PhD student after directing the forensics program and receiving a masters degree at the University of Montana.
Caitlin Walrath joins the Debate Society as a PhD student after receiving her masters degree from Wake Forest University.
Christian Curtiss, who previously worked as an assistant coach for the College of Idaho, now joins the U as a masters student and coach for the debate society.
Ashton Poindexter continues his time with the John R. Park debate society as he pursues a PhD. After receiving his masters degree from the university in 2023 and working as an assistant coach and lecturer for the 2023-2024 season the team looks forward to Ashton’s continued contributions.
