John R. Park Debate Society Hosts Second Annual Great Campus Debate

In partnership with the new campus Center for Civic Discourse and Debate, the John R. Park Debate Society will host the second annual Great Campus Debate. The debate will discuss state versus federal management of public lands, a topic selected through polling of the campus community. Throughout the debate, chaired by society director Dr. Duncan Stewart, students from across campus will be invited to present arguments that help unpack the resolution: On balance, states should have more authority over public lands than the federal government.
