Film Screening: After Tiller - John R. Park Debate Society Special Event

01/22/2014

The John R. Park Debate Society (the University of Utah Forensics Team) is pleased to announce its public event for Spring 2014. This spring the Debate Society will be hosting a special event. The event will feature a film screening of the documentary, “After Tiller.” The film, which was an official selection at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, explores issues related to abortion in the United States and specifically focuses on the four doctors in the United States still performing late-term (third trimester) abortions. Filmmaker Magazine called the film, “the most compelling and important documentary of the year,” and The Hollywood Reporter observed that, “Whether one is pro-life, pro-choice, or without an opinion, After Tiller provides personal insight into a heart-wrenching, complex reality.”

What: “After Tiller”: A film screening presented by the John R. Park Debate Society
Who: Special Presentation after the film by Planned Parenthood of Utah
When: Wednesday, January 22, 2014 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Following the event, Heather Stringfellow, Vice President for Public Policy at Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, will conduct an information session and discussion of issues related to the film.
