John R. Park Debate Society Holds 51st Great Salt Lake Invitational Online; Wins 40 Awards - Debate - College of Humanities

The John R. Park Debate Society kicked off its Spring 2021 season by hosting the 51st annual Great Salt Lake Invitational on January 15-17, 2021. The event was attended by 28 schools from 14 states and featured over 175 competitors, coaches, and judges. The Debate Society was joined by the University of Texas at El Paso who co-hosted the event that included the UTEP Classic. Across the weekend, students competed in fourteen competitive formats of forensics across 4 tournaments, winning 40 awards. The team will look to maintain this momentum when they participate in the Gorlok Gala hosted by Webster University on January 29-31, 2021.
