Debate Society Secures 1st Place Season Sweeps at CEDA Nationals

The John R. Park Debate Society completed its first year of CEDA competition in two decades with a showing at the 2026 CEDA National Tournament in Binghamton, New York, on April 2nd - 6th, 2026. While at the tournament, the team secured a first-place finish in seasonlong sweepstakes for the Western Division. This award highlights the accomplishments of all students on the team, as it is awarded to the team with the most total ballots won throughout the season. It is a true team accomplishment.

The team will finish its season at the National Forensics Association championship tournament on April 15th-20th at Tennessee State University.
