2021 Sunset Cliffs Classic

John R. Park Debate Society Soars in San Diego

 The John R. Park Debate Society continued its 2021-2022 competitive season October 22-24, 2021, traveling to San Diego, California to compete at the Sunset Cliffs Classic hosted by Pt. Loma Nazarene University. Eight University of Utah students competed against a field of twenty-six other schools. Members of the Debate Society appared eleven elimination rounds across the tournament, and two students were recognized as tournament champions. The team will continue its season (virtually) in November at the Red Bird Debate Tournament hosted by Illinois State University.
