John R. Park Debate Society Earns Two International Championships in Ireland
The John R. Park Debate Society competed in the International Forensics Association's 34th Annual Tournament & Conference on March 11-12, 2023 in Dublin, Ireland. The six students competing at the tournament appeared in 9 elimination rounds, winning two events and placing 3rd overall at the tournament, outperforming Vanderbilt University, the United States Air Force Academy, Cornell, and Rutgers University, among the 41 programs in attendance. The team concludes their spring season by hosting the National Parliamentary Debate Tournament on March 15-17 on the University of Utah campus, and then traveling to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan for the National Forensics Association Championship Tournament on April 18-22.
