Spring 2022 - Debate - College of Humanities

The John R. Park Debate Society picked up the spring semester right where they left off the fall—with championships. The team kicked off the new year by cohosting the virtual Great Salt Lake Invitational and UTEP IE Classic with the University of Texas at El Paso on January 14-16, 2022. The tournament was attended by schools from four time zones and two University of Utah competitors were recognized as champions of their respective events. Several students then competed at the Online Asynchronous Tournament Series (OATS) 5, hosted by Southwest Minnesota State University during the week of January 17-21, 2022, with three students reaching the final round of speech competition. The team will continue its season online at the Gorlok Gala hosted by Webster University, and the Scheller Invitational hosted by Pacific University, the weekend of January 28-30.
