John R. Park Debate Society Ends 2022-2023 Season with Record Honors

The John R. Park Debate Society wrapped up its nationals season at the National Forensics Association Championship Tournament hosted by Bradley University from April 13-17, 2023. The seven-student team advanced six different events, including the first final round appearance at the NFA tournament, a best-ever performance for the Debate Society.

Across the season, students representing the Debate Society won 180 awards and were recognized as tournament champions 52 times. The team took top overall honors at five of the 11 tournaments they attended. Graduating senior, Ryan Knippel, was the tournament champion 15 times, including three International championships.

The Society will transition into its post-season activities, focusing on recruiting for next fall and hosting the Beehive Forensics Institute in early August.
