John R. Park Debate Swings Big in California
The John R. Park Debate Society traveled to Stockton, CA for its fourth tournament of the competitive season at the Mustang Invitational and Paul Winters Invitational swing hosted over three days by the University of the Pacific. At the tournament, the team faced competition from twenty colleges and universities. Among the other institutions in attendance were the University of the Pacific, San Francisco State University, the University of Nevada, and Sacramento State University. Points from both tournaments are combined to produce an overall swing placing. Students won five events and finished the second overall in the swing. The team will look to conclude its strong fall season at the last tournament of the semester when it travels to the Fall Champs tournament in Norwalk, CA on the first weekend of December.
